PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrain disadvantage caused by generation of heat creep by stably supporting a steering shaft without causing shortage of support rigidity. SOLUTION: Long grooves 53, 53, 53 extending in the axial length are formed in a resin-made support bush 5 for supporting the steering shaft in the interior of a fixed housing with both ends left, whereby thermal expansion caused by heat of friction generated by sliding of the steering shaft is absorbed by decrease in width of the long grooves 53, 53, 53 to restrain disadvantage caused by generation of heat creep. The rigidity of the support bush 5 is secured by the cylindrical parts at both ends of the long grooves to stably support the steering shaft.
