PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light and compact axle easy to be fitted and removed to/from a vehicle main body and having the high strength. SOLUTION: An intermediate part 10 to be fitted to a vehicle main body 5 is formed of a steel material having an H-shaped cross section formed of flange parts 11 and 12 arranged opposite to each other in upper and lower and a web part 13 for connecting between the flange parts 11 and 12. Axle fitting parts 15 and 15 for supporting wheels 9 and 9 freely to be rotated are fixed to both ends of the intermediate part 10 so as to form an axle 1. The axle 1 fitted to the vehicle main body 5 so that a flange surface 11' of the flange part 11 abuts on a bottom surface of the vehicle main body 5 can be stably fixed to the vehicle main body 5.
