PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a phase relationship between a motor rotational direction signal indicative of a rotational direction and a motor control pulse as an original pulse signal for driving a motor or a phase relationship between a motor advancing rotational control pulse and a motor reversing rotational control pulse is fixed in a conventional ink jet control device so that only a motor driver satisfying the above phase relationship can be controlled. SOLUTION: In order to solve the above problem, this ink jet control device has a control section that can change the phase relationship between the motor rotational direction signal indicative of the rotational advancing direction or the rotational reversing direction of the motor for driving an ink jet head section or a medium and the motor control pulse as the original pulse signal for driving the motor or the phase relationship between the motor advancing rotational control pulse as the original pulse signal for driving the motor when the motor rotates in the forward direction and the motor reversing rotational control pulse as the original pulse signal for driving the motor when the motor rotates in the reverse direction.
