PURPOSE: Provided are method and apparatus of purifying sewage through multistage membrane contact process, which are characterized in that anaerobic, facultative, aerobic, and transformed bacteria are cultivated in each membrane contact process. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises an anaerobic decomposition tank(A) cultivated with anaerobic bacteria; an anoxic reservoir(B) cultivated with facultative bacteria; primary and secondary contact aeration tank(C)(D); a primary sedimentation tank(E) for settling sludge; primary and secondary intermittent aeration tank(F)(G); a final sedimentation tank(H); a tank(I) for removing foam; a tank(J) for disinfecting treated water; and a storage tank(K) for storing sludge. Sludge of the primary sedimentation tank(E) is recycled to the anoxic reservoir(B) for phosphorus release. And sludge of the final sedimentation tank(H) is recycled to the anaerobic decomposition tank(A) for denitrification.
