TROPONIN I OF MITE, NUCLEIC ACID MOLECULE ENCODING THE SAME, AND THEIR USES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compound for controlling mites and protecting livestocks from the infection with mites, and to provide a method for controlling various mite-mediated diseases common to both human being and animal. SOLUTION: The 1st objective isolated gene encoding troponin I of mite, recombinant troponin I that is produced and purified from a recombinant cell that was transformed by a vector obtained by inserting a region encoding the protein into a protein expression plasmid vector, followed by producing/purifying the recombinant troponin I protein having the enzymatic activity from a recombinant somatic cell transformed by the vector and the 2nd objective method for preparing an antibody against termite troponin I are provided. The localization of troponin I in a termite tissue preparation and the reactivity to the termite immune serum of rabbit used as a probe for a vaccine candidate molecule are also provided.
