PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head and an ink jet recorder in which concentration of stress due to deformation is prevented and variation of a diaphragm due to variation of stress is prevented. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording head comprises a channel forming substrate 10 in which a pressure generating chamber 12 communicating with a nozzle opening 21 is defined, and a piezoelectric element 300 disposed in a region facing the pressure generating chamber 12 through a diaphragm 50 constituting a part of the pressure generating chamber 12 and generating a pressure variation in the pressure generating chamber 12 wherein a bonding substrate 30 having a piezoelectric element holding part 32 for ensuring a space not impeding motion of the piezoelectric element 300 is bonded to the piezoelectric element 300 side of the channel forming substrate 10 and at least one of the pressure generating chamber 12 or the bonding substrate 30 is provided, at the opposite ends in the arranging direction of the pressure generating chambers 12, with stress relaxing parts 16 where rigidity is lowered by forming a recess 15.
