PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a total traffic control system that can automatically rewrite traffic information stored in a train even during an operation thereof. SOLUTION: A traffic control device 100 in a central command station, when required to rearrange the operation of a train 70 or to change the train number information, rewrites timetable information on a section and sends new train number information included in the timetable information to a train selecting station check device 32 on a base station 10. The train selecting station check device 32 transmits the received new train number information to a pick up device 80 on the train 70 stopping at the base station 10. The pick up device 80 rewrites the preceding stored train number information into the new train number information and stores it.
