PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device for a game machine which can effectively prevent unfair unlocking of a lock device for locking a front face frame of a game machine. SOLUTION: In the lock device for a game machine, a sliding rod 6 having a hook part provided integrally to each of the upper and lower parts of the rod 6 is disposed inside a vertically elongated base frame 1 comprising a mount plate 2 and a support plate 3 so as to be slidably movable along the support plate 3, and a cylinder lock 7 is fixed to the plate 2 of the frame 1 so that the axis of the lock is inserted into the plate 2, while a cam plate 8 adapted for engagement with the rod 6 is fixed to the tip of the axis of the lock, and the plate 2 is vertically attached to a front face frame of the game machine. The rod 6 is divided into an upper slide rod 4 having an upper hook part 4a and a lower slide rod 5 having a lower hook part 5a, and the rod 4 is connected to the rod 5 through an oblong hole 4b and a guide pin with a head 4c in engagement with the hole 4b, whereby when a lifting force is exerted to the rod 4, only the rod 4 can be moved.
