PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which can easily and surely perform the attaching and the removal of a front wall on which a paper pack is fitted. SOLUTION: An electric blower 2 and a dust collecting chamber 3 are formed in a cleaner body 1. Then, in the dust collecting chamber 3, the front wall 12, with which a fixing plate 10 for the paper pack 4 is confronted, and from the lower section of which a bottom wall 25 is extended to an area under the paper pack 4, is detachably formed. At the same time, in the dust collecting chamber 3, a lateral positioning mechanism 41 and at least one of longitudinal/ vertical positioning mechanisms 31 and 32 are provided for this vacuum cleaner. In this case, the lateral positioning mechanism 41 is used to position the front wall 12 regarding the lateral direction, which is the width direction of the cleaner body 1, when the front wall 12 is fitted in a specified location in the dust collecting chamber 3. The longitudinal/vertical positioning mechanisms 31 and 32 are used to position the front wall regarding the longitudinal and vertical directions.
