Arrangement with measurement system especially for telecommunication system

The arrangement simultaneously takes measurements of the signal parameters, in both directions, on an actual connection in the telecommunication and/or data communication system. The delay parameters are simultaneously assessed in both directions by using a pre-filtered cross spectrum represented by the formula (i) in which the pre-filter is represented by the formula (ii). An identification unit automatically identifies the active speakers in a speech connection. The simultaneous measurements make possible an effective use of conversation time in a speech connection. The data and/or telecommunication system's own generated signals (speech signals) are used for effecting the measurements.
