PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which is used for injection of a transfusion agent and discharge of urine, etc., and can prevent the adhesion of the contents in liquid to the lumen surface and prevent the clogging of the lumen. SOLUTION: This catheter is composed of a polymer material containing a photocatalyst or the catheter is formed by coating its inside surface with the photocatalyst. The photocatalyst is preferably a titanium oxide-base catalyst and is more particularly preferably a titanium dioxide-base catalyst which gives rise to a catalyst effect under visible rays and has stable oxygen defects.
