PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a catalyst for reforming, free from the deposition of carbon and having sufficient mechanical strength for a practical use. SOLUTION: The catalyst for reforming composed of multiple oxide having a composition expressed by the following formula, in which M and Co are highly dispersed in the multiple oxide is used: aM.bCo.cMg.dCa.eO. As the method for obtaining the same catalyst, the one in which a coprecipitating agent is added to an aqueous solution of water soluble salt of the above each constituting element to precipitate hydroxide, is subjected to primary baking in the temperature range of 673 to 873 K and is subjected to secondary baking in the temperature range of 1,223 to 1,573 is adopted. |
