PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand collecting machine capable of easily being inspected, repaired and maintening at the outside of a sand sedimentation basin having a neither sand collecting machine nor fixed matters at the bottom and being a flat and simple form. SOLUTION: The sand collecting device is a machine for collecting sand accumulated at the bottom part of the sand sedimentation basin 1 and has a spraying nozzle 4 for spraying pressurized water, a transportation means for transporting the spraying nozzle 4 and a control mean for controlling the operation of spraying of the pressurized water and the operation of the transportation means.
