ORGANIC HYDROPEROXIDE COMPOSITION FOR EPOXIDIZING AGENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING EPOXY COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a readily produceable organic hydroperoxide composition for eposidizing agents capable of retaining epoxidation activity in epoxidation reaction and having good thermal stability and stability with time in storage or transportation and provide a method for producing an epoxy compound by using the above composition. SOLUTION: This organic hydroperoxide composition for epoxidizing agents comprises an organic hydroperoxide and an unsaturated compound which carried out degradative radical chain transfer. The unsaturated compound which carries out degenerative radical chain transfer is an unsaturated compound which becomes a stable radical even when a radical active site is formed in the molecule of the unsaturated compound by a radical chain reaction. A 4-10C olefinic hydrocarbon or allyl-based compound is preferable as such the unsaturated compound. t-Butylhydroperoxide is preferable as the organic hydroperoxide.
