PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray photographing apparatus capable of preventing a contact by using a detecting means having two functions of a contactor and a non-contactor. SOLUTION: A contact preventing unit 5 has a non-contact sensor (side face) 12, a non-contact sensor (front surface) 13, a cord switch 8a and a tape switch 8b. Thus, an operation of a C-arm type X-ray photographing device is stopped before an element to be detected is contacted with the unit 5. Even in the case of an 'X-ray input unit' in which a sensor cannot be disposed, the element to be detected is contacted with a grid 16, and a compression spring 11 is deformed. Thus, a pushing plate 10 pushes the switch 8a to detect the contact, and the operation of the C-arm type X-ray photographing device is stopped.
