PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end of the insertion tube of an endoscope which achieves the collection of a tissue sample quickly and accurately from a site too slender to insert the endoscope by easily guiding a hole for protruding an instrument to the aditus of a peripheral branchia, or the like, while watching an X-ray image. SOLUTION: At the distal end of the insertion tube of the endoscope, provided with at least an observation window 22 and a hole 23 for protruding the instrument on the body 21 thereof made up of an electrically insulating material, at least the portion surrounding the hole for protruding the instrument is made impervious to X rays or an X-ray impervious substance is added to the portion surrounding the hole for protruding the instrument.
