PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent parts from being broken by a method wherein an unnecessary load of the reading unit of an electronic blackboard during its manual movement is reduced. SOLUTION: This electronic blackboard is equipped with a power transmission change-over controlling mechanism, which changes over the transmission of the power of the power source to a moving unit so as to interrupt the transmission of the power to the moving unit with the power transmission change- over controlling mechanism when reading comes to an end in order to stop the reading unit.
