PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine in which an operating means related to the progression of a game is provided so as not to lower operability and complicate its structure. SOLUTION: In the slot machine 1, in which a variable display means having a variable display area 4 capable of variably displaying the symbols of plural kinds is provided, prescribed game value is given to a player when the display result on the variable display means becomes a predetermined specified display conditions and the game can be performed by using game balls to be thrown into a ball tray 6 projectinaly provided on the front face of a casing, the ball tray 6 is provided with operating means 8, 9L, 9C, 9R, 31a and 31b related to the progression of the game.
