PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the emission of dioxins by performing a proper alkaline agent feeding to the waste gas from an waste incineration furnace or a furnace such as an iron and steel making electric furnace or a metal recovering furnace in suppressing an agent cost. SOLUTION: The concentration of the chlorophenol in the heating furnace waste gas is measured and the amount of the alkaline agent to be added is determined in accordance with the measured value.
