<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaning treatment method capable of preventing the turbidity of obtained tap water and dispensing with the additional charging of a microorganism bonded granular carrier, and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: In the water cleaning treatment method, raw water such as river water, lake and marsh water, basin water, ground water or the like is put in a treatment tank 1 including the microorganism bonded granular carrier 2 having aerobic microorganisms bonded to the surface thereof and aerated to decompose organic matter in raw water in the tank by aerobic microorganisms, and the decomposed matter of the organic matter and other suspended matter are filtered by the filter membrane unit immersed in the tank. As the granular carrier 2 to which aerobic microorganisms adhere, a carrier comprising a gel of polyvinyl alcohol having high strength and having excellent affinity with respect to aerobic microorganisms is used. The particle size of the granular carrier 2 is made larger than the pore size of the membrane of the filter membrane unit 3.</p> |
