PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving formability of a stock and a device thereof in which the stock can be work-hardened to a predetermined degree by easily forming dimples at predetermined pars of stock with a simple configuration, and formed with excellent appearance without generating any breakage or cracks in the post-forming. SOLUTION: This device for improving the formability of the stock P improves the formability by heightening the strength of a predetermined part of the stock P, and comprises a dimple forming means 1 for plastically forming the dimples D as the predetermined parts of the stock P and a dimple flattening means 2 for plastically flattening the formed dimples D.
