PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such problems that, in conventional vacuum cleaners, change in the direction of an air exit to a ceiling surface so that documents, or the like, may not be blown away by the exhaust air, or in the opposite direction from a user so that the exhaust air may not hit the body of the user has been difficult. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a hose for the suction of dust and dirt, has a built-in electric blower in the cleaner body, and is equipped with an exhaust air cover having an air exit on the cleaner body. In such a vacuum cleaner, the exhaust air cover is made rotatable to the cleaner body, and the direction of the air exit is made rotatable. Then, a hose is made connectable with a first air exit of the exhaust air cover, and a second air exit is openably/closably provided. Also, an exhaust air velocity from the first air exit is made adjustable, and in the exhaust air cover, protrusions having different angles from the center are provided at four locations or more. Then, the exhaust air cover has a structure which is rotatable and detachable from the cleaner body.
