PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sheet-like washing product which can form a thin layer composed of a dough detergent composition in uniform thickness and width while maintaining excellent solubility in use. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a sheet-like washing product comprises continuously or discontinuously coating a dough detergent composition prepared so as to have a viscosity at a shear rate of 10 s-1 of 3,000 mPa.s to 300,000 mPa.s and, at the same time, a viscosity at a shear rate of 1,000 s-1 of 60 mPa.s to 20,000 mPa.s under the condition of a shear rate of 10 s-1 to 1,000 s-1 on a flexible belt-shaped support 14 in a continuous length which is continuously travelling in a predetermined direction by a specified coating means to form a thin layer of the above dough detergent composition.
