PURPOSE: A server system and a method for a logistics transportation service are provided to offer various web services to a customer, a transportation driver, and a transportation company by generally managing vehicle allocation, transportation, and vehicles in an interactive communication environment using the Internet. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises an order processing unit(102) for receiving the particulars of an order with response to the request of a web browser of a client terminal(150), a vehicle allocation supporting unit(104) for searching a list of available vehicles by referring to a vehicle allocation database(114) and receiving vehicle allocation by communicating with a driver, a transportation managing unit(106) for reporting work to a web browser of a transportation company terminal(170) through a communication network(140) and managing the transportation business for the transportation, and a vehicle control unit(108) for tracking the position of a vehicle and managing the travel state of the vehicle.
