PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a styrenic polymer having a small amount of styrene oligomer. SOLUTION: A polymer having a small amount of styrene oligomer is obtained by carrying out a polymerization process on and after a second-stage polymerization temperature and/or a aftertreatment process in the presence of an organic peroxide having 98-230 deg.C temperature of 10 hour half-value period in 0.2 mol concentration solution in benzene in a method for producing a styrenic polymer.
