PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel red light-emitting compound that has large emission brightness with high color retention. SOLUTION: In this novel light-emitting compound, a fluorine-bearing electron- attractive group is introduced into the coumarin skeleton and an electron- donating group is introduced into the benzene ring, thus the resulting compound emits Nile red light.
