PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high lift work vehicle solved in a problem of a safety device for a conventional high lift work vehicle that an operator 17 is kept pinched in the conventional high lift work vehicle having a pinch press detection means 21 which is provided inside a bucket 6, which detects the pressing of the operator 17 to a part of the bucket 6, which restrains operation of the high lift work vehicle when the detection means 21 executes detection operation, and which reduces a degree of the pinch press as compared to a vehicle without the safety device when the operator 17 is pinched. SOLUTION: This safety device has an actuator detection means 31 detecting an actuator in operation now and its operating direction, and a control means 32 controlling the driving for the actuator. When the pinch press detection means 21 executed the detection operation, the safety device reversely operates the actuator.
