<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid purification method using an electrochemical cell which does not need the supply of a sacrifice metal from the outside, an apparatus for the method, the electrochemical cell, and electrodes to be used in the apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises at least one electrochemical cell having a cathode, an anode and an electrolyte arranged between the cathode and the anode. Cations and electrons are generated by the anode, positive charges are moved by the electrolyte, the cell contains a catalyst for accelerating a reaction generating hydroxyl radicals, the catalyst is placed in the cathode of the cell, and the catalyst in a solid state is arranged to contact the fluid to be purified.</p> |
