PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wall coating material capable of exhibiting stable quality performance, which contains an inorganic humidity conditioning material to have a humidity conditioning function and is used for coating a wall. SOLUTION: The wall coating material is used for coating the surface of the wall of a building and contains 25 to 75 wt.% granulated and fired grains of the inorganic humidity conditioning material, 25 to 75 wt.% gypsum and 0 to 20 wt.% organic binder.
