PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set a bar-like material cut by a cutting device 1 in a secondary working device with a carrying device 3 by providing the cutting device 1 for cutting the bar-like material M into a dimension and a secondary working device 2 for chamfering both ends of the cut bar-like material in parallel with each other. SOLUTION: A carrying device 3 is formed of a first carrying means 4 and a second carrying means 6. The first carrying means 4 has a peripheral pinching clamp 21 for holding a part of a bar-like material M to be cut by a cutting device 1 for separation, and holds the cut bar-like material with the peripheral pinching clamp 21 so as to carry it to a bar-like material delivery position PR of a second carrying means 6. The second carrying means 6 holds the bar- like material W supplied by the first carrying means 4 with an axial direction pinching clamp 25, and carries the bar-like material W to a bar-like material holding position PF for holding it with a peripheral pinching clamp 7 of a secondary working device 2.
