OVERSPEED DETECTION DEVICE OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overspeed detection device of an elevator capable of being easily set even in elevator with no machine room and actuating an emergency stopping device. SOLUTION: The overspeed detection device 6 can be easily set even in the elevator without a machine room since pulleys conventionally set on upper and lower parts of an elevator shaft are eliminated by constituting the overspeed detection device 6 so as to detect overspeed of a passenger car 3 by allowing a pulley 62a provided on the passenger car 3 to abut on a wire rope 5 suspended in the elevator shaft 1. The overspeed detection device 6 can also certainly actuate the emergency stopping device 4 to ensure safety.
