PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely perform an operation for temporarily stopping a member while being carried at a prescribed position for an inspection without stopping the whole carrying operation, in a carrying process for a member provided with circumferential grooves in the head and the surrounding. SOLUTION: The head of a member to be carried such as a screw is made in a state hung and suspended on a guide groove 11 of a guide member 8, the suspended end part is guided by a worm screw groove 17 of a worm member 2 provided at a lower part of the guide groove 11 and the member to be carried is carried along the guide groove 11 by rotation of the worm member 2 rotating continuously. A cutout part 3 is formed on a worm thread part 14 of the worm member 2. Since the cutout part 3 is set at a position lower than the length of the suspended member, the member to be carried is not carried and is stopped when the worm is rotated up to this position. When the worm is rotated, the member is pushed by a side surface 16 of a guide for pushing and is started to be carried again. Subsequently the operation is repeated.
