The window comprises a frame (1), to which double panes (2) are fitted by hinges (7). The double panes consist of an inner pane (3) containing the insulating glazing and an outer pane (4) provided with mullions (6). The outer pane is fitted in hinges located on the outer side of the inner pane. In normal circumstances, the outer pane is firmly fixed on the side opposite to the hinge with screws. These screws are loosened for cleaning and renovation purposes, so that the outer pane can be turned away from the inner pane.
