PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need to provide a maintenance monitor system with optical branch units as many as branches. SOLUTION: When this splitter consists of single-mode channel array waveguides 22 and 23 which are formed on a substrate and a slab waveguide 21 which has the single-mode channel array waveguides 22 and 23 connected on both sides and is surrounded with an arc of constant curvature, a 1st reflection grating 24 which reflects only light of a 1st wavelength band and a 2nd reflection grating 25 which reflects only light of a 2nd wavelength band are formed in parallel in the center of the slab waveguide 21. At the respective ports of one channel waveguide 23 between the two channel array waveguides 22 and 23 connected to both the sides of the slave waveguide 21, 3rd reflection gratings 26 which reflect only light of a 3rd wavelength band are formed shifting by constant length from the end surface of the slab waveguide 21 in order from one channel waveguide. |
