PURPOSE:To eliminate the uncertainty of an operator due to the difficulty of the determination of the actual state of operation only by measured data while the generation of the abnormality of excavation is discovered early and quick treatment is enabled by sensually deciding the status of operation of a shield excavator under the ground. CONSTITUTION:An acoustic wave sensor 1 is installed onto the rear-section partition wall 17 of a sealed chamber 13 at the rear of the cutter face 12 of a shield excavator 10. A frequency component in a sound signal from the acoustic wave sensor 1 is adjusted through a band-pass filter 4b, and acoustically converted on the ground, and the status of excavation is determined aurally from the converted acoustic information. |
