PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for outdoor heat exchanger is provided to reduce power consumption and achieve an improved efficiency by using water to cool the outdoor heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: A cooling apparatus comprises a water supply unit(41); an injection nozzle(48) for injecting the water supplied from the water supply unit to an outdoor unit; a temperature sensor(45) for sensing the temperature of the outdoor unit; and a control unit(43) for injecting water to the outdoor unit through the injection nozzle when the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor is higher than a predetermined level. The control unit has an inlet port connected to an outlet port of the water supply unit, and an outlet port for discharging the water introduced from the inlet port. The control unit turns on or off the water supplied from the water supply unit, to thereby permit water injection through the injection nozzle. |
