SUCTION MUFFLER FOR COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A suction muffler for compressor is provided to achieve an improved performance of compressor by reducing pulsation of refrigerant and allowing for a smooth supply of refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: A suction muffler(26) comprises one or more primary resonance chambers(26b) which includes a muffler inlet(26a) for suction of refrigerant from an external source, wherein first resonance chambers are arranged to be communicated with each other, and temporarily store the sucked refrigerant; a secondary resonance chamber(26c) arranged in the vicinity of the primary resonance chamber so as to reduce a specific frequency noise of the refrigerant; a refrigerant feed pipe(26d) connected to a suction valve from the primary resonance chamber and the secondary resonance chamber, and which feeds the refrigerant to a compression chamber in a cylinder from the primary resonance chamber; and a pressure reduction unit(26e) installed at the refrigerant flow channel formed by the primary resonance chamber and refrigerant feed pipe, and which reduces the refrigerant flow pressure in the suction direction.
