PURPOSE: A window air conditioner is provided to simplify structure of air conditioner and reduce power consumption by eliminating a condenser, compressor and an evaporator from the cooling system. CONSTITUTION: A window air conditioner(200) comprises a motor(203) for rotating an air blower(202); an inlet duct(201a) for guiding the indoor air into an air conditioner case(220) in accordance with the rotation of the air blower; a heat exchange unit(210) for cooling the indoor air guided by the inlet duct, by using a thermoelectric semiconductor(205); an outlet duct(201b) for guiding the air cooled by the heat exchange unit, into an indoor area; and a control unit for controlling operation of the motor and thermoelectric semiconductor. The thermoelectric semiconductor includes a metal layers arranged to be parallel with each other; a plurality of conductive layers sputtered to the metal layers; and p-type and n-type thermoelectric semiconductor columns attached to each conductive layer.
