PURPOSE: A vehicle body having a structure for reinforcing an engine mounting element is provided to support the load applied to front and rear parts of an engine mounting element and prevent the transmission of a tension rod with respect to a vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle body includes an element(14) for reinforcing an engine mounting element(13), the reinforcing element of which upper and lower parts of a rear portion are joined to a rear plate(16) for forming a closed space(17), wherein a middle portion of the closed space is symmetrical with the rear plate, sectional areas of both side portions of the closed space are smaller than a sectional area of the middle portion, and a tension rod is mounted to a cross element(10) by a welding nut of the reinforcing element.
