Geometrically efficient particle agglutination, particularly to detect low affinity binding

Compositions and methods for detection of binding interactions, particularly low affinity binding interactions, are provided. The methods and compositions are suitable for diagnostic assays, and other assays for the presence of low affinity binding compounds in a sample. In one exemplary embodiment, the method includes detecting agglutination of geometrically regular particles to which a molecule which is a member of a binding pair is covalently conjugated.
