METHOD FOR MONITORING COMMUNICATION CHANNEL; MONITORING UNIT, BASE STATION, MOBILE STATION, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING THE METHOD

This is a method and apparatus for supervising a potentially gated channel in a wireless communication system. _ The mobile station (4) maintains a counter of consecutive bad frames, COUNT1 (224), and a counter of consecutive good frames, COUNT2 (226).
