PURPOSE: An automatic shape measuring apparatus for steel sheet is provided to achieve an improved reliability and productivity by measuring L-curved state of the steel sheet in a rapid and accurate manner. CONSTITUTION: A shape measuring apparatus(1) comprises a sheet extraction unit(20) having a magnet plate installed underneath a movable plate(28) so as to extract a steel sheet, wherein the movable plate is connected to the lower portion of a movable bracket(26) arranged to be movable forward and backward along a beam(24) mounted to a vertical board(22); a sheet position adjusting unit(40) having a surface table(56) which is installed to locate the extracted steel sheet onto a rotating plate(44) arranged to be rotatable at a mounting table(42); and a sheet measuring unit having a measuring sensor for measuring the shape of steel sheet, wherein the measuring sensor is installed above a base(62) movable toward the steel sheet.
