ELECTRONIC WATTMETER USING RF-ID CARD AND PERIPHERAL DEVICES

PURPOSE: An electronic wattmeter using an RF-ID(Radio Frequency-Identification) card and peripheral devices thereof are provided to prevent troubles in the use of an electronic wattmeter by embedding an RF-ID card reader in the wattmeter and to transmit power corresponding to the information in an RF-ID card. CONSTITUTION: An RF-ID card reader(3) reads an RF-ID card(2) by contacting or non-contacting. The RF-ID card reader is installed in an electronic wattmeter(1). The RF-ID card reader is charged without being inserted into the wattmeter. The electronic wattmeter breaks power supply via a relay to supply power corresponding to the amount of charge to a user. A buzzer and an LED(Light Emitting Diode) are installed in the electronic wattmeter to inform the power breakage to the user. The use of the card is recorded in a management item embedded in a PC(Personal Computer) when a charger(4) is connected to a utility PC(5) by receiving the user information from the RF-ID card. As a charge timing approaches, a history of charge is informed to the user through a cellular phone(8), a telephone(9), or the Internet(10).
