Handle comprises a base (10) movably mounted on the door and interacting with a closure when actuated, and a cover (40) mounted on the visible side of the base and secured using a slide (20) during assembly. The slide forms a pre-assembled component (30 with the base, in which the slide is received in a longitudinal guide (38) by the base and be displaced between a protection position and a non-protection position. The slide has a blocking wall (23) and a wall cutout (24, 24') for the lug. In the protection position, the opening (34) of the base is covered by the blocking wall of the slide behind which the lug then engages. In the non-protection position, the wall cutout is brought in line with the opening by the slide and allows passage of the lug when the panel is folded against the base.
