PRODUCTION OF QUICK-DRYING MATERIAL HAVING UNIDIRECTIONAL SUPERHIGH SPEED MOISTURE ABSORBING FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A process of preparing the subject material by imparting a superhigh speed moisture absorbing function to conventional quick drying material depending on simple capillarity by the use of capillarity of a surface layer and pushing force of a backing layer is provided. Whereby, the material has a selective unidirectional quick-drying function which blocks off moisture from inducing into a human body and discharges out sweat produced on the skin. CONSTITUTION: This textile fabric or knitting comprises a backing layer(1) comprising a hydrophobic yarn having a processing moisture content of 1% and a surface layer(2) comprising a hydrophilic cross-section yarn and has a double structure in which the surface layer has a density larger than the backing layer by 110% or more. The hydrophobic yarn is polypropylene fiber, water repellent processed fiber or yarn dyed polyester or polyamide fiber and the hydrophilic yarn is cotton, rayon or wool.
