PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to reduce time needed to re-operation of a stopped compressor. CONSTITUTION: The air conditioner comprises two compressors(1,2) with different refrigerant compressing capacity; check valves(11,12); oil separators(9,10); a condenser(4) and an evaporator(6); accumulators(7,8); and a pressure balancing device(13). The check valves are installed on outlets of the compressors to prevent backflow of refrigerant compressed in the compressors. The oil separators are connected with the check valves to return oil flowing out from the compressors to the compressors. The condenser and the evaporator condenses and evaporates refrigerant isothermally. The accumulators are installed on inlets of the compressors so that only gaseous refrigerant flows into the compressors. The pressure balancing device is connected with a first and a second discharge pipes(41,42) and a first and a second pre-check-valve pressure pipes(31,32) connecting the check valves with each of the compressors. The pressure balancing device is connected with a first and a second high pressure pipes(43,44) and a post-check-valve pressure pipe(33) fluidically connecting the check valves with the oil separators. The pressure balancing device is connected with a first and a second intake pipes(45,46) and a low pressure pipe(36) connecting the evaporator with each of the accumulators. |
