DEVICE OF PERFORMING COMMUNICATION FOR POWER CONTROL OF DOWNLINK SHARED CHANNEL IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A device of performing communication for power control of a DSCH(Downlink Shared Channel) in a mobile communication system is provided to make a UE(User Equipment) receiving the DSCH measure the size of common pilot signals and the size of dedicated pilot signals of individual node B within an activation set, so as to control the size of transmission power of the DSCH transmitted from a base station. CONSTITUTION: A UE sets a 'PLo' at a soft handover starting point(1001). The UE checks how many node Bs are in an activation set(1002). The UE decides whether the size of common pilot channels of a node B transmitting a DSCH is the biggest value among signal sizes of common pilot channels of the node Bs in the activation set(1003). If so, the UE finds a difference between a common pilot signal of a node B having the biggest common pilot channel signal size among node Bs, which do not transmit the DSCH, and a common pilot channel signal of the node B transmitting the DSCH(1004). The UE stores calculated results in a UE buffer(1005). The UE decides whether a relative power offset of the DSCH should be updated(1006). If so, the UE checks whether path differences increase by using a path loss difference(1007). The UE sets a power offset in accordance with channel environment changes based on the path differences, and sets a power offset in consideration of receiving powers of dedicated pilot signals of DL_DCHs(Downlink Dedicated Channels), then selects a relative power offset corresponding to the two offsets(1008). The UE selects a code for the relative power offset(1008). The UE transmits the code to an FBI(Feedback Information) field of a UL-DPCCH(Uplink Dedicated Physical Control Channel)(1009). The UE decides whether the UE is out of a soft handover region(1010). If so, the UE performs power control of the DSCH(1011).
