GRINDER OF TIRE UNIFORMITY TEST MACHINE

PURPOSE: A grinder of a machine for testing tire uniformity is provided to reduce errors related to plural interlocking units by contacting the grinder to the tire linearly and precisely with forming the grinding head in the uniformity tester. CONSTITUTION: A grinder in a tire uniformity machine receives a tire(T) for testing. The grinder includes an arm(16) contained in a bearing(18); a grinding head supported on the arm; a pair of end members extended axially from the arm; and a linear actuator(20) operatively engaged with the arm to selectively cause axial movement for contacting the grindstone to the tire selectively. The grinding head has rotating grinding stone and a motor causing the rotation of the grinding stone. The grinding head is pivotally supported between end members.
