COLOR CATHODE RAY TUBE

PURPOSE: A color cathode ray tube is provided to improve the distortion of a screen and the characteristics of a convergence. CONSTITUTION: In a color cathode ray tube having a flat panel exterior surface, the screen distortion and the convergence give rise to problems. To overcome the problems, bar magnets(11) in such a manner that the bar magnets are disposed parallel to a screen and are shifted from upper and lower ends of a horizontal deflection coil(101) of a deflection yoke(10) by not less than 10 mm in the direction perpendicular to a tube axis. Therefore, the distortion of the screen and the characteristics of the convergence are simultaneously improved.
