The procedure uses at least one sample plant (CT) in a tray of endive roots, with the growth of its shoot (A) monitored by a an imaging technique, such as X-rays, to indicate the condition and progress of the whole crop. The sample plant is placed inside a removable container (7) with a cover (9), inserted in a crop tray and subjected to the same growing conditions, and removed from time to time to check on its progress. |
